The temple is at Pushkar which is close to the sacred Pushkar lake. This temple is dedicated to the Jagat Pita Brahma. The story behind this Gurudwara is that in the past this place was visited by Sikh gurus Guru Gobind Singh and Guru Nanak Dev when they were traveling to Rajputana states in 1706. It is 13 km from Ajmer.

According to the mythology, Lord Brahma was cursed by his wife Gayatri when lord Brahma married an untouchable girl Savitri to complete the yajna ceremony during her absence.
