3. Chandak Dhwaj Temple

This temple is located in Soar Valley which offers a splendid view of this place. It is situated at a distance of 8 kilometers in a  valley that is having its border stretched up to Nepal you need to cover the distance of one kilometer on an uphill trek to reach this temple.

4. Thal Kedar

Thal Kedar temple is located at a distance of 16 kilometers on the hilltop and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This place attracts the devotee of Lord Shiva as well as the nature lover as per the geologist it is said that the Shivling in this temple is close to one thousand million years old. This temple attracts the Shiva Devotees in the huge amount on the ocean of Maha Shiv Ratri. This temple was built again and again by Nana Sahib Dhondupant Peshwa Bajirao etc.

5. Chaukori

Chaukori is located at a distance of 173 kilometers from Nainital and is situated at an elevation of 2010 meters above the sea level. Chaukori is also known as the land of dreams as it is surrounded by the majestic Himalayan Peaks with a view of Panchachuli and Nanda Devi. Chaukori is also famous for its tea garden. The astonishing sunrise and sunset view from this place is like a treat to the traveler’s eyes.

This place attracts both wildlife lovers and nature photographers as it is having some secret sites with majestic surroundings. Chaukori is also a perfect site for bird watching as it has numerous birds in the forest having rhododendron and pine, Devdhar, and other such trees.

6. Gangolihat

Gangolihat hill town is located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand and is famous for its Shaktipeeth which is known as Haat Kalika and is dedicated to Goddess Kali. Other than this there are some more ancient temples such as Chamunda Mandir, Ambika Dewaal, Vaishnavi Mandir, and many more.

Gongokihat is also having some of underground caves such as Mukteshwar Gufa, Patal Bhuvneshwar, Shaileshwar Gufa to name a few. Earlier this Kali Mata temple was located in West Bengal but later on, it was shifted to Gangolihat.

7. Jhulaghat

Jhulaghat is at a distance of 36 kilometers from Pithoragarh. It is an Indian village which is located on the India-Nepal Border and is more inclined towards Nepal. The natural boundary between both the countries is formed by the river Kali which is also known as the river Mahakali. This place offers both religious and adventurous attractions to its tourists.

8. Patal Bhuvneshwar

Patal Bhuvneshwar is a cave temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This spiritual place is a kind of hidden pilgrimage site which is located at an altitude of 1350 meters above the sea level. This limestone cave is located at a distance of 13 kilometers from Gangolihat and is one of the longest and narrow tunnels. It is believed by people that this cave is an abode of 33 Koti God and Goddess.
