Jim Corbett National Park 

This National park is situated in the Jim Corbett district of Uttarakhand. It one of the oldest National parks which was earlier named Hailey National Park and was established in the year 1936. There are 488 varieties of wildlife and plants which include Wild boar, Muntjac, Nilgai, Gharial, Sambar Deer, Tigers, Chital, Elephants, Flying Fox, Indian Pangolin and besides this, there are around 600 different species of birds. This National park is spread in an area of over 521 sq km. this park also protects the endangered species of Bengal Tigers of India. Jim Corbett National park is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas. There are four main entrances of the park that are Amdanda gate, Dhangarhi gate, Durga Devi gate, and Khara Gate. a large number of local, national and international people get attracted to this park.

Zones in Jim Corbett National Park

Bijrani zone: There are various flora species in this zone and you can also enjoy bird watching and wildlife watching from this zone.

Dhikala zone: This is the largest zone of this National park where you can enjoy nature at it’s best. You can exclusively spot hog deer in this zone.

Jhirna zone: This zone is easily accessible by tourists and various accommodation facilities are present in this zone. Here you can find Hornbill in abundance.

Dhela zone: This is the latest zone added to the National park having dense forest, widespread grasslands and also various wildlife species.

Durga Devi Zone: This zone a specially for bird lovers and it has various species of birds in this zone. You can also enjoy fishing Mahasheer fish which is the largest fish species. It is on the northeast corner of this National park.

Sitabani Buffer zone: this zone is not part of the main National Park but it consists of near forests with some temples.
