History

Rao Raj Deo was the founding Raja of Neemrana and it was somewhere in 1464. He is the sixth descendent of Rao Madan Pal. Rao Madan Pal was the founder of Mandawar. The event occurred in 1170. Thus Neemrana is a place where the 16th-century hill fort stands today.

It was once occupied by Chauhans that were the direct descendants of Prithvi Raj Chauhan and they occupied the fort till 1947. Neemrana is an ancient historical town which is in the Alwar district of the state of Rajasthan.
