4. Kusum Sarovar

Kusum Sarovar is located at a distance of 19km from the center of Mathura city, which is located in between Radha Kund and Govardhan hills. The name of this Sarovar is kept on the name of a girl attendant of Goddess Radha whose name was Kusum. There are many ashrams and temples located near this Sarovar.

5. Kans Qila

This fort is located on the bank of the river Yamuna and once used to belong to King Kans. this is the oldest fort that belongs to the maternal uncle of Lord Krishna, who was Kans. Gita Mandir is also known as Birla Mandir that is located on Mathura-Vrindavan road. This temple is famous for its beautiful architecture and has become a famous landmark. This temple was established by Jugal Kishore Birla. This temple is having a room with the verses of Gita and that is why it is known as Gita Mandir.

7. Govardhan Hill

Govardhan hill is located at a distance of 22 km from Vrindavan. The reference of this hill is also given in Bhagwat Gita and as per Lord Krishna, this hill was not different from him. This is an 80 feet tall hill that covers an area of 38km and is made of sandstone.

8. Dauji Mandir

This temple is located at a distance of 18 km from the city center and is dedicated to the elder brother of Lord Krishna who was Balram and also known as “Baldau”. This is a 5000-year old historic temple that was established in 1535 AD. the idol is 7 feet tall and is considered as the hugest idol in the city.
