Places to Visit in Chakrata

1. Tiger Falls

Tiger fall is one of the main attractions of Chakrata. It is a natural waterfall surrounded by forests on all sides.it is located at an elevation of 312 feet. This place is served as a good picnic spot and a popular trekking route. If you are a nature and adventure lover then this place is calling you.

2. Deoban

Deoban is located at an altitude of 2200 meters. It is surrounded by dense deodar forest on all side and give a pleasant view of the Himalayan range. There are a variety of birds present here like Green Backed tit, White-collared Blackbird, Himalayan Woodpeckers and many more which attracts many bird watchers. A 15 min of trekking from this point will take you to Vyas Gufa.

3. Budher Cave

This cave is located at a distance of 30 km from Chakrata. Budher cave is also known as Miola cave. Miola was the german person who discovered this cave at that time. This cave is believed to be dug before the Mahabharata was fought by the Pandavas. It is a 150 meters long cave which is made up of line stone.

4. Skiing and trekking in Mundali

Mundali is having a lush green forest and majestic snow-covered peaks. The slopes here offers tourist to enjoy skiing. Trek lovers can also have a walk around the forests in the beauty of nature. All these things make it a perfect place for adventure lovers.

5. Chilmiri Neck

Chilmri is one of the peaks where the cantonment is located. You can also have a captivating view of Banderpoonch massif, Swarga peak, and Rohini Peak.  you can also do bird watching as there are ample of the forest all around, which are home to many migratory birds.

6. Ram Tal Horticultural Garden

This garden is located at a distance of 9 km from Chakrata. There are a variety of lichens, ferns, conifers, climbers, woody trees and flowering plants in this garden. This place is famous for black-headed jay, oriental turtle dove, grey treepie, etc. The main attraction of this garden is an Apple garden and a natural pond.
