Winters are the aptest time to explore Varkala. Visit this place in the months from October to February when the temperature is very apt for visiting. The weather mostly remains balmy with clear skies that draws maximum travellers to the coastline for recreational and adventure activities.

Summer              

The summer season here starts in the month from March and ends in June where the maximum temperature reaches up to 40°C.  It is not an apt time to visit Varkala. But many tourists visit this place in March and April to attend the Arattu festival that is held every year. The level of humidity is high during the summer season here.

Monsoon

Monsoon season is witnessed in the months between July and September and temperature ranges between 24 to 29°C that is quite pleasant. The monsoon lovers do visit this place in monsoon. Most of the travellers like to visit Varkala in July and August as the region celebrates Onam and Karkidaka festival. But one needs to be aware that August month is the wettest month of the season. July and September is quite a good time for travellers to visit Varkala.

Winter

The month of October brings winters in Varkala with the temperature ranging between 24 to 21°C. it is the best time to explore the places as the weather remains quite pleasant. The winters here ends in March. One can enjoy the thrilling activities during this season as the sky is clear. Activities like- Paragliding, swimming, jet skiing, boating are enjoyed in winters.
