The adventures and spiritual trek to Kedarnath Dham will start from Gaurikund which is 17km. Though the level of trekking is a bit difficult still the on route beauty of this place will not let you feel tired. There are various tea stalls and food stalls where you can relax and get refreshed by drinking the special tea. If you are having a shortage of time or any other inability to trek then you can also opt for Helicopter, Doli, or Poney. After offering prayers in Kedarnath Dham you can also visit Bhairon temple, Ram gufa where Lord Rama meditated for Lord Shiva and Shankaracharya samadhi.

You can further visit Triyugi Narayan Temple where Lord Shiva and Goddess Sati got remarried. To reach Triyugi Narayan you need to come back to Sonparayag from Gaurikund and from Sonprayag you can sit in your cab, from there you can ask the driver to take you forward to Triyugi Narayan which is approx. 12 km away and only a small vehicle can go as the route is very narrow. Here, you can still see the burning havan kund there during all 12 months of the year. Kunda like Saraswati Kund, Lakshmi Kund, Brahma Kund, and Vishnu kund are present in Triyugi Narayan. Other than this you can visit Vishwanath temple and Ardh Nareshwar temple (Half body of lord Shiv and Half of goddess Sati).

There are 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, and Kedarnath Dham is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Kedarnath Dham is located at an elevation of 11660 feet above sea level. The jyotirlinga in Kedarnath Dham was created by Pandavas, where the Torso of Bull incarnation of Lord Shiva is worshipped. Kedarnath Dham is the third Dham among the four holy dhams of Uttarakhand located in Guptkashi. You need to cover the distance of 17km by trekking from Gaurikund to Kedarnath Dham other than this you can also opt for Poney or Doli to reach the temple. If there are some old aged elder with you, or you are having scarcity of time then you can also opt for a Helicopter ride which can be started from Phata, Sersi, or Sitapur Helipad.

By Rail

Haridwar and Rishikesh railway stations are the nearest railway stations that are connected to the major cities of India. From the railway station, you can hire local bus private vehicles for a taxi to reach Sitapur which is the base camp for the trek.

By Road

There are many private buses, taxis, and government buses that run from Haridwar to Sitapur. The total distance between Haridwar and Sitapur is around 230 km which can be covered in the time period of 9 hours.

By Air

Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport which is located in Dehradun. From the airport, you can hire any local vehicle for a cab to reach Sitapur by covering the distance of 200 kilometres in 8 hours.

Best Time To Visit

The best and ideal time for visiting Kedarnath Dham is throughout the mid-year months that is from April to May month, upon the occasion of Akshay Tritiya the doors of the sanctuary open. Again the doors open from September to October and after the event of Diwali, the doors of the sanctuary shut again. While in the middle of the mentioned month the sanctuary stays open yet because of precipitation in June and July because of landslides, yatra gets troublesome.

Those changes may occur due to situations beyond our control like weather problems, cancellations of trains, flights, and political unrest, etc… We will try our best to keep the tour unchanged. However, any compensation or any refund due to such changes will not be paid by us.

    Hotel Bookings

    Hotel bookings are made by us on behalf of our customers. We are having a tie-up with many hotels. Although all rates are updated on our website, still there are chances that the rates of Hotels may go up/down. Sometimes rates of the hotel are hiked during long weekends and during festive seasons. It is better that you confirm the rates before making an online payment over the mail. The quality of the room, amenities or meals which are displayed in photos on hotel websites may vary. Booking of the rooms on the same floor/adjacent rooms/ non-smoking rooms in any hotel is not Guaranteed. The right to change the pre-booked hotel or the category of rooms is reserved, anytime during the tour due to overbooking of a hotel, blocking of the sewage, electricity/water failure, etc.

    Check-in/ Check-out times of Hotel / Resorts may vary from city to city. please check these timings before making the booking. Early check-in and late checkout will be charged extra and are subject to the availability of the rooms. Policies for accommodating children and for extra beds may vary from hotel to hotel.

    Vehicle Bookings

    Vehicles are booked on behalf of our customers. We aim to provide the best available vehicle with the best services to our clients. The costs of diesel/petrol prices, interstate taxes, vehicle maintenance cost, toll & taxes, etc are beyond our control. Rates displayed on our website are eligible for change at any time without any prior notice.

    The pre-booked vehicle can be changed to a similar category of vehicle in case of non-availability of the pre-booked vehicle.

    Air-conditioned, as well as non-air-conditioned vehicles, are booked as per request. If the air conditioner stops working due to technical fault at any time during the tour will not be our responsibility. No refund or change in the vehicle will be made in between the trip unless the vehicle is not in the condition to go further.

    Amendments or changes after booking

    If you wish to do amendments or change the prior booking, you have to inform us in writing on mail.

    Amendment or changes in any booking will be treated as a new booking and will be subject to availability at that time and the additional cost will be charged. The additional cost will be borne by you. There will be an amendment charge of Rs.1000/- applicable.

  • Cancelation of the booking will be informed to us in writing on mail. The cancellation charges will be applicable depending upon the services. Cancellation of the hotels and airlines will be done according to their own cancellation policies.

    The cancellation for a package tour, be applicable as follows :

    Cancellation before clear 30 working days or more prior to the date of departure of the Tour : 25% of the total tour cost will be charged.

    Cancellation before clear 29 to 16 working days prior to the date of departure of the Tour : 50% of the total tour cost will be charged.

    Cancellation before less than 15 clear working days prior to the date of departure of the Tour :100% of the total tour cost will be charged.

    Balance Payment

    The complete balance payment has to be made before the starting date of the trip. However, the company can ask you anytime to clear the balance payment before 30 days from the date of departure.

    The right is reserved to amend/change the prices offered for the tour and to adjust our charges due to various factors like currency fluctuations, special/high season charge levied by the suppliers, fuel price rise, travel arrangements, hike in any government taxes or visa amounts or for any other reason before the date of departure. All such increased price must be paid before your departure(Full and final).

    No refund for unutilized services

    There will be no refund or compensation provided for services that are not used. If you fail to avail/use any services due to any reason the company will not provide any kind of refund or any other services as the compensation of the unutilized services.
